The next golden nugget on the Oslo based Det Gode Selskab label comes from Bikini Waxx record dealer, Alexander Skancke. The solid crew and party establishment gaining wide respect for some time for their vinyl and digital outputs, somehow crammed in between frequent event organization and a massive studio complex in the city they call home.
The third vinyl output from comes in the shape of three fine originals, and a remix from the fellow Norwegian, and one and only DJ Fett Burger. Some of Skancke's finest work to date recently saw the light of day on his Quirk imprint with great success, and 'The Mouth' EP following suit here, on his close companions label. His deeply rooted connection with the label founders shining strong here as he delivers his strongest release to date, with what seems like a natural next leap for Det Gode Selskab.

Opener Munn is slick and smooth power house music. It's punchy and filled with superbly subtle details that make it one of the underground heads as well as a weapon for the big boys in the business. Pearly Whites is more tripe put and freaky, with choppy garage drums, percussion, edgy chords and rich texture giving it a late night afterparty feel. Yes or No then goes right off, with big chord stabs full of color, squelchy synth modulations and hardcore kicks bumping along the groove. It's tasteful yet out there.
DJ Fett Burger does as he always does and reworks Yes or No with a magic sense of invention, laying the ground for a modern classic. It becomes a slick and star gazing house tune built on busy drums in and out of time that are sure to make a mark. Yet again another intriguing remixer from the forward thinking Norwegian label.
This is a fantastic EP for fresh, off kilter left of centre house music.
