About Us
Our brand, Det Gode Selskab (DGS), is a record label, an artist collective, and a series of events in Norway and abroad. We've become known for creating a progressive and inclusive club experience, often turning unexpected places like old churches and libraries into buzzing rave spots featuring various electronic music genres. DGS was started by Terje Dybdahl and Christian Berg in Oslo back in 2011. A few years later, Thomas Refvik and Karl Markus Zavodny Fraunhofer joined the team. After years of evolutions it's now Terje and Thomas at the helm as we're transitioning into DGS's 15 years anniversary.
Fifteen years of Det Gode Selskab means fifteen years of sweaty dance floors that move like family. What began in Oslo’s roof tops and basements has grown into a label, collective and movement built on connection, quality and groove. From our residency at Jæger to nights that stretch across rooftops, historical buildings, to nature and cities, we’ve always believed in the same simple things: good sound, honest selections, and dancefloors that feel like freedom. In 2026 we celebrate fifteen years of good company with events in Mexico, Asia, Europe and home in Oslo. Bringing together artists, friends, family and dreamers who still believe that the right record, played at the right moment, can change everything.
We promote both Norwegian and international music in the house and techno genres, along with visual arts. Our goal is to drive active cultural development and create a bigger stage where new Norwegian talents and established artists from around the world can meet and showcase their art. This includes A&R, running a record label, event production, sound production, and booking artists.
