Cementing themselves at the forefront of the action amongst Oslo nightlife Det Gode Selskab look to celebrate their decade long existence with a series of releases from an array of label affiliates. The first part of the 10 years release lands late November, and consists of refined curations featuring A:G, Alex Jangle & MatzaM, Felipe Valenzuela & Argenis Brito under their FÆR guise, and another killer combo in the form of Deadbeat & The Mole.
Firing things up is Norwegian producer, A:G, his acid tinged electro energy making a bold statement for the 10 years series, crisp drum arrangements conversing with the elastic bass groove in “Can’t Cure Curiosity”. Label regulars Alex Jangle & MatzaM enter the dance with their “Glowbones” track, driven house music at its finest, containing the signature shimmering synths and pads the pair can be recognised by.

The flipside enters more stripped back territory, leaning towards minimal territory. FÆR constructs an almost eight minute trip “Serious Repetitions”, distinct atmospheres simmer throughout, hypnotizing as each motion melts into the next. The last of Part 1 sees Deadbeat & The Mole join forces, tribal like percussions lead you towards a mysterious path, and before you know it the warm bass is walking you down that same passage. Trippy elements circulate the body of the track which aptly rounds off this record, leaving a flavor for all the tastemakers amongst us.
The Det Gode Selskab journey has been a colorful one thus far, and will undoubtedly continue to be as the key driving force behind the brand continues to evolve and develop, with a never ending yearn to create outside of the box, whether that be events, music and art. Here’s to 10 more.
